I believe in a collaborative approach to health. When you feel empowered and supported, you can start to take control of your health, well-being, and ultimate happiness. I don’t provide one-size fits all approaches, I provide strategies that are tailored to your individualized needs. We are all unique and we need medicine & support that reflects that individuality. My approach is always to discover the root cause of your concerns and work to resolve them. The foundation will always be diet and lifestyle with support from herbs, supplements, and acupuncture.
My journey to becoming a naturopathic doctor began when I started to experience digestive problems as a teenager. I was bloated and in pain on a regular basis and it started to affect my ability to show up fully in my life. After waiting months to see a specialist, I was diagnosed with IBS, told to manage my stress, and given no further advice or support. I felt dismissed and defeated but this kick-started my path to change this experience for myself and for others
I went on to pursue my Bachelor of Health Sciences at Western University. This is where I started to develop my passion for teaching and promoting health. It’s also where I started to make the connections that health was much more than pills and preventing disease. Health was about your happiness, your relationships, and your purpose and in order to get there we need to talk about your nutrition, your lifestyle, your sleep, your stress, and your movement. I felt that naturopathic medicine best reflected this approach and went on to earn my Doctor of Naturopathy from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. During my residency, I was chosen to be part of the Fibromyalgia & Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) focus shift where I learned how to manage complex chronic illnesses.
I have a special interest and clinical focus on digestive health, however I also support & treat mental health (anxiety, eating disorders), women’s health (fertility, PCOS, PMS, perimenopause, menopause), and chronic conditions (autoimmunity, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, eczema).
