Dr. Marin Duke became a part of the LiveWell Waterloo team in 2012.
She has an extensive history in the sports medicine field, which began with her completion of Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba – leading to her being accepted in the Musculoskeletal Medicine fellowship with the University. Continuing her education, in 1998 Dr. Marin Duke also earned her Diploma in Sports Medicine from CASEM.
Throughout her career, Dr. Marin Duke connected with a multitude of professional, varsity, and amateur athletes, including but not limited to the Kitchener Rangers (OHL), Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and the University of Waterloo’s Varsity Clinic. On top of these affiliations, Dr.Duke has acted as a team physician for multiple athletic events like The Ontario Summer Games and the Pan Am games.
Sports Medicine is a part of the healthcare system that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries caused during athletic activity. While sports medicine is a newer form of specialized healthcare its focus is broad.
