Dr. Kathryn Telford born and raised in a small town outside of Orillia, Ontario. Growing up she had a strong interest in dance, gymnastics, swimming, soccer and downhill skiing. Like most, with activity tends to come injury and Kathryn was no exception. Through her own injuries she was introduced to the world of rehabilitation therapy. Kathryn was cared for by chiropractors, physiotherapists and sports physicians, which sparked her interest to pursue a career in rehabilitative sciences.

Dr. Kathryn graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education, Honours, degree. During her time she was a member of the Queen’s Varsity Cheerleading team. She also had the opportunity to work as a student athletic therapist for the Queen’s Woman’s Basketball and Men’s Lacrosse Team. In between school and sports she volunteered her time with Kingston’s Special Olympics swim team.

Following graduation Dr. Kathryn continued her studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic, Magnum Cum Laude. Here she gained the tools and knowledge to become a well-rounded evidence-based chiropractor. Dr. Kathryn strives to provide the most for patients. She is passionate about others and helping them return to their daily routines.

Dr. Kathryn’s practice style includes spinal and extremity manipulation and mobilization therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercises and education. She believes therapy is a team effort between the doctor and patient and will strive to provide the proper tools to her patients in order for them to reach their full recovery. She has a strong interest in geriatric care, sports and work-related injuries.

Dr. Kathryn has recently moved to Waterloo where she plans to grow her practice, and one day a family. When Dr. Kathryn is not in the office she can be found on the golf course, out for a run,  visiting with her family and friends, or touring around the city with her dog, Benny.
